The Academy for
Precision Health
Training Practitioners to Integrate Genetics, Epigenetics and Precision Testing into Real Clinical Practice
with Dr. Denise Furness (PhD)
DR DENISE FURNESS HAS BEEN FEATURED IN:

EMBRACE THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE
Healthcare is shifting toward a personalised, preventative model, where genetics, epigenetics and precision testing become tools for better clinical decisions, not just interesting data.
The Academy for Precision Health equips practitioners with the education, applied understanding and confidence to integrate genetic and precision testing into real clinical practice supported by structured learning, case-based application and guided implementation.
This is not just about learning genes.
It’s about learning how to practise precision health properly.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW
Patients are asking deeper questions.
They want personalised care.
They want answers grounded in data.
They want prevention, not just reaction.
Yet many practitioners feel:
Interested in genetics but unsure how to apply it
Overwhelmed by conflicting information
Concerned about getting it wrong
Unsure how to integrate testing into consults in a structured way
The Academy bridges that gap.
Not with hype.
Not with fear-based interpretations.
But with grounded science and real-world clinical application.
THE SHIFT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
Before the Academy, many practitioners feel:
Curious about genetics but hesitant to use it
Unsure how to structure interpretation
Concerned about overcomplicating consults
Overwhelmed by scattered information
Through the Academy, you will learn to:
Interpret genetic and precision data using structured thinking
Integrate testing into consults in a practical way
Communicate findings clearly and responsibly
Make clinical decisions grounded in personalised data
Access new revenue opportunities and position your practice at the forefront of precision health with advanced, in-depth testing packages.
This is about professional capability, not inflated promises.
A STRUCTURED LEARNING EXPERIENCE
The Academy follows a clear progression across four pillars:
Pillar 1: Foundations of Precision Health
Genetics, epigenetics and the scientific foundations that underpin personalised care.
Pillar 2: Biological Systems & Pathways
Biological systems and pathways such as immune/inflammation, methylation, detoxification and oxidative stress will be covered. By understanding these pathways you’ll learn to identify underlying triggers linked to chronic conditions, ranging from infertility to age-related disorders.
Pillar 3: Clinical Case Studies & Applied Interpretation
Deep-dive case studies that bring genetics, testing and phenotyping together, helping you see how precision data translates into real patient scenarios.
Pillar 4: Clinical Integration & Implementation
Co-working sessions and guided support focused on integrating precision testing into your consult structure, patient communication and service offerings.
You won’t be left alone with content.
You’ll be supported as you learn how to apply it.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Comprehensive online learning modules
Fortnightly live mentoring sessions with Dr Denise
Case-based teaching and applied interpretation
Guided implementation sessions
Ongoing access to materials
Peer practitioner community
This is structured education designed for clinical application, not passive content consumption.
WHY LEARN PRECISION HEALTH THIS WAY?
There is no shortage of information on genetics.
What is often missing is:
Scientific rigour
Clinical structure
Real-world case application
Real mentoring
Understanding how to make this work inside an actual practice model
Dr Denise Furness began her career as a molecular geneticist, completing a PhD in nutrigenomics and epigenetics before spending over a decade in hospital-based research and fertility genetics.
She then transitioned into clinical practice, where she has spent more than 14 years working directly with patients — navigating the real-world challenges of applying genetic testing responsibly, effectively and sustainably.
The Academy reflects this dual experience:
Scientific depth.
Clinical practicality.
And an understanding of what it actually takes to integrate precision testing into a working practice.
This is not a niche added later.
This is a field built over more than two decades.

WHO IS THIS FOR
The Academy is designed for:
General Practitioners
Medical Specialists
Naturopaths
Integrative Practitioners
Allied Health Professionals
Health students preparing for clinical practice
The Academy is intended for registered healthcare practitioners or students working toward registration who will apply learning within their professional scope.
If you are ready to practice personalised, preventative healthcare using genetic and precision data, and want to feel more confident applying it in real consults, this Academy is designed for you.
The BIGGER Vision
Precision health is not a trend.
It represents a long-term shift toward personalised, preventative healthcare grounded in science and supported by data.
The Academy is building a community of practitioners ready to practise this way — responsibly, confidently and with clinical integrity.
This is about improving standards of care.
At scale.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who is the Academy best suited to?
The Academy is designed for registered healthcare practitioners including GPs, specialists, naturopaths, nutritionists and allied health professionals — as well as students preparing for clinical registration.
Participants are expected to apply learning within their professional scope of practice.
What topics will be covered?
The Academy covers the foundations of genetics and epigenetics (biological age testing), key biological pathways (including methylation, inflammation, oxidative stress/detoxification), clinical case studies, and structured guidance on integrating precision testing into practice.
The focus is on interpretation, communication and responsible clinical application.
I’m new to genetics and epigenetics. Will I be able to keep up?
Yes.
The Academy is structured progressivel, beginning with core foundations before moving into applied case work.
You do not need prior genetics training. A willingness to learn and apply the concepts is essential.
How much time commitment is required?
Approximately two hours per week for structured learning, plus fortnightly live mentoring sessions.
Is this program accredited?
Upon completion, you'll receive a certificate that reflects your training in nutrigenomics and epigenetics. This certificate can help enhance your professional credibility and show patients your commitment to precision health.
What kind of support will I receive?
You will receive:
The Academy is designed to support application, not just content consumption.
Will this program help increase my income?
The Academy is a clinical education program, not a business coaching program.
However, practitioners who integrate precision testing into practice often find it allows for deeper patient engagement, clearer treatment direction and premium service positioning.
Outcomes depend on individual implementation.
How is this different from other genetics or functional medicine courses?
The Academy combines:
It is designed not just to teach genetics — but to help you practise precision health responsibly and confidently.
ENROLMENT
Places are intentionally limited to ensure meaningful mentoring and case discussion.
If you are ready to deepen your clinical capability and integrate precision health into practice responsibly and confidently, we invite you to apply.

Working with Denise has been life-changing. I have lost 12 kg in 4 months, and my psoriasis is gone. Insights from my genetic makeup means my diet is now focused on whole foods and nutrients my body needs. My father had Alzheimer's, and I now understand the risks and changes I need to implement for healthy ageing. Denise’s approach will become the future of healthcare, and I feel very privileged to have benefited from her unique experience
